Hi Hilary, First off, thank you for taking our feedback into consideration to make BP even better than it already is! I joined BP a few months ago and just upgraded to pro a couple days ago, so I'm still getting familiar with everything and will probably have more feedback as time goes on. For now, if this hasn't already been suggested and/or is not currently in development, it would be very convenient if the calculators (i.e. House Flipping Calculator, Rental Property Calculator, etc.) could be accessed/used from within the BP mobile app, instead of having to go to the full site to perform analyses. Looking forward to seeing this soon. Thanks again! Mark

Writing down those next steps really helped me make progress. You'll hit a point of diminished returns if you're relying too much on reading material without taking some action. The real jumping off point for me was when I started picking up the phone and calling people. Go to local meet ups, speak to agents, property managers, other investors, etc. You don't have to commit to anything by talking to people and it'll help connect those dots for you very quickly. I Things will naturally progress from there!

 Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the tips! It's good to find other people with a common background and similar interests. And it's good to know I'm not alone in tending to over analyze.

I've started jotting down my goals and milestones, and will take it to the next level by networking. Sounds like it's a pretty critical component of real estate investing.

Thanks again!

Mark

Hi everyone. My name is Mark and I'm excited to be part of this community! I am new to real estate investing and it has become my recent passion. I decided to pursue real estate investing because my wife and I want to become financially free, build an empire for our family, and retire within the next 10-15 years to spend more time with each other and our newborn baby girl, and travel.

I'm primarily interested in buy-and-hold properties and have joined to obtain more information on how/where to start. I'm also open to other strategies such as BRRRRs, flipping and 1031-exchanging into a buy-and-hold, etc. I'm a little more than halfway through reading The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Real Estate Investing, and it's helped tremendously. My next milestone is to establish a business plan using the Guide.

Being an engineer, I over analyze and my main concern is that I'm going to wind up in analysis paralysis and never progress. But, with the help of this community, I'm sure I'll end up moving in the right direction.

Thanks!
