i like the idea of mentioning to him that he'd be paying for legal costs. that might get him to move.

after many attempts, he refuses to sign....mum and dad would roll over in their graves if they knew what was going on....he knows he has a bit of power, and takes full advantage of it. he has gone through so many friends so doesn't care if a friendship ends. i like the idea of sticking him with the costs of court because he is making life unnecessarily difficult. i've tried two different co. not good to use small co though as they might run off with funds...

my parents died five years ago and left half of everything (including the family house) to my brother and i in a living trust. soon after, i bought out my brother's half of the house. we decided to do the paper work, filing, etc by ourselves. a big mistake, because now im trying to sell the house but need his signature on a new grant deed given to me by a title co. as they want assurance the house is in my name before they insure the title. we've had an argument and he wont sign...i would get a lawyer, but hate the idea of going to court.
