@Andrew Schulz if you're young and wanting REI to be a focus in your life, maybe look into property management for apartment homes. Starting as a leasing consultant doesn't require previous experience and the hours are a bit more flexible. You also earn bonuses dependent on the amount of leases you secure.

@Paul Timmins I wasn't aware of that but I'll definitely be looking into that as an option. I'm extremely comfortable in that realm so I feel it can work out for me!

I'm Marissa Smith, an Assistant Community Manager at a student housing/multi family property in Tallahassee. I've been working in the property management industry for about 4 years now with 2 as a leasing agent and 2 as a manager. So far I've been working on getting my real estate license to somewhat dip my foot into the "actual" real estate game and not just property management. My main goal is to become a full on investor of other multi family properties. I've been in the background of BiggerPockets for over a year so I can't remember how I came to find this community but recently I've been wanting to take my career and future a bit more serious so I've found my way back.
