Post: Detecting drainage problems on forclosed properties

Any suggestions as to the best way to detect possible drainage problems on a house with no ability to turn on water until after closing? Normally I don't have any problems getting the water turned on termporarily long enough to check the drainage and what not. Any suggestions?
