To be honest I do not want to manage a huge portfolio. The number of 30 is what I would be very happy with. The maximum would be 50.
I am a licensed residential builder so I can handle maintenance and inspections. That will cut my expenses and make it worth it.

Hello Wendy,

I ran someone else property management company for a long time. I know how to do it. I have managed over 200 buildings many of which with 5 to 10 units in each. Every aspect of property management I am familiar with. From advertising and prospect interaction throughout leasing, managing tenants, rent collection, scheduling city inspection, returning security deposits and everything in between.
I have been licensed since February 2023.
Thank you for your input! I greatly appreciate it.

Hello Folks,

I am a real estate agent that has substantial property management experience. I would love to do some property management for limited number of clients under my LLC but I have a hard time finding a brokerage that will allow me to do that. I am aware that in Michigan I have to do property management under the supervision of a broker and pay the brokerage a commission and I am fine with that. However, I can not find a broker that would actually let me do property management. Most of the large brokerages already have their own property management departments and would not let me do property management for private clients. From their perspectives there is a conflict of interest because I would be somehow competing with them.

Are you aware of a brokerage company that would let me do property management for private clients? It just seems unfair to me that I can not use the skills, knowledge, and experience I gained during the last 8 years of my life.

Thank you!
