Thank you, Noah. No, it's a recurring cost in a STR, cleaning in between guests. It's about 200.00 each time and is averaged to be about 55 times a year per a property manager I am working with so I was dividing and adding as a monthly expense. I had given the feedback in the survey that the other category appeared to be missing and then this post. Meanwhile, I found it hidden as a fixed expense - but, lo and behold, it now appears under HOA, gas, etc., when I run a report so someone looked further at it.

I appreciate the answer - and if there is a better way to work around the variable expenses for short term, please guide me that way! => I've figured out how to do it just averaging the costs and a 40% vacancy rate, that's the best application I've found so far.

Take care, Maria

Hi all. I have used the calculator many times and I love it - BUT - I am not seeing the 'other' category in the final analysis, for the variable expenses. I am using it to calculate for short-term and the 'other' I am inputting is the cleaning fee; with short-term turn-over, it's a substantial expense. Am I missing it or is it truly missing from the final analysis? Is there a differen calculator I should be using or, maybe it should be included in the maintenance fee versus other?

Thanks, Maria
