What are some options to acquire capital to get started investing? I've found a couple of properties and after calculating the numbers one in particular would be a great investment. The only drawback is I don't have enough money. Do I need to wait a few years until I have enough money or are there alternatives so I can get started investing? I'm not getting any younger!

Hey Luke thanks for the response! I am looking to invest in a single family home or duplex but am not sure about great market areas.  I wouldn't mind investing in the USC area but I know that is extremely expensive.  What are your thoughts about investable areas?

I am just starting out and live in Columbia, SC.  I've lived here for 4 years and don't feel like it's a strong market for rental income, mainly because of the high number of apartment complexes.  I would like to start out soon but am not sure if Columbia, SC is the right market.  If not, what are my options then?  Any feedback is appreciated!
