Hey Avrom, I have sent a connect request.

What would be the best way to talk more, here, or is there a direct message service on bigger pockets?

Thanks

You can work at an RE office or for a PM company to understand the intricacies of the industry and the business from all angles. You will rise from there as long as you show dedication and hard work.

Sounds great, thanks for the advice Lien.

@Marcos Cabral Doubtful any company would hire you to be an actual Property Manager with no experience, but you can look for a job working as an admin or runner.

Thanks Drew, will look into that. :)

Welcome to BiggerPockets!

Yes, a property management position would be a great start. It will teach you one how to handle one of the most difficult skills investors struggle with: how to manage rentals. It will also produce a stable income while helping you learn what investments perform best. Sales is another option, but it's difficult to earn a stable living for your first couple of years.

Thank you for this reply, much appreciated.

Good day everyone,

I currently live in Sydney, Australia, and am looking to go into partnerships in the industry.

The way I see it to be honest is that I have time to give, and am willing to do the undesirable work like errands and really whatever it is that investors would rather avoid doing and be willing to forgo some profit for that (Ultimately giving them added time for other important and new projects).

As I am looking to get into a long-term career in Real Estate development & investment, I am wondering if anyone might be able to refer me to anyone they may know in Australia or contacts that would be helpful.

Thanks very much and have a great day :)

Marcos

Hey @Shawn Kalakota, what city in Australia are you investing in?

Kind regards,

First-time post on the forum:

I am currently 18 years old and am looking for a job in the real estate industry.

I want to be a property developer & investor in the long-term and seeking advice on a specific job/s that I should study/apply for that would best help me gain the skills and experience towards my long-term goal mentioned.

So far, being a property manager is an idea thought of, and still looking and open to hearing recommendations for work in the industry.

Hope someone in the forum can help out and that whoever is reading has a great day.

Kind regards :)
