I was wondering if you can pay actual cash for a property at auction, as in, you bring actual cash in a briefcase at the auction and if you win, you count out money to hand to the auctioneer and collect your deed.

@Kai Van Leuven

Truer words were never spoken, it’s super hard in the beginning and every day you wake up thinking that this is the day you throw in the towel. And then you hang in there one more day, and one more day, and one more week, and month... then one day it gets easier and you can’t wait to get up the next day.

The comments by Cooper are on point, I couldn't have said it better if I tried.  As both a contractor and an appraiser, I agree with the comments.  However, in MA, a finished basement cannot be advertised as square footage for rent.

If someone tries to put you down because of your gender, don't let this get to you. Brush it off and keep going. In my day job, I have met many female investors and GC's some of whom do a much better job that some guys I personally know. So don't let this get to you, just ignore this and keep pressing on towards your goal.

Thanks everyone for the welcome, am looking to rehab. I've been to a black diamond meeting both in Waltham and Worcester, Anne always has great speakers, too bad the weather did not cooperate for the survivoropoly.

I find it curious that there is very little negative info on them on the web, even Mother Theresa who was a saint had detractors especially on the web.
