Steven I started out investing in Tax Sale's here in Baltimore, MD in 2002. We used to have a Live Auction like a lot other states but now its all online so the list I used to get after the auction has very little properties left.I found that in Utah the property owner have 4 years to redeem which would keep you waiting a long time to get a house. In MD its only 6 to 24 months.

I picked up my first house with just $850 after the tax sale auction. The liens vary from 50 bucks to millions you just have to be comfortable with the amount your willing to invest.

If I were you I would start by going down to your local municipality or treasure's office and just ask if they have a list of properties that weren't bought at auction. Our list is only $4 bucks.

Steven I don't know if this would help but I only know of one city in UTAH because I watch the Jazz and thats Salt Lake City. Here's there treasurers info:
