Post: Real Estate Attorney in Virginia Beach

To further my understanding how common is it to work with multiple law firms during one's real estate investing career? Why would this be more advantageous (availability issue?) versus staying with one firm?

Thank you both so much for the responses. I looked into a few commonly mentioned law firms and attorney recommendations  from BP. I am making the rounds contacting them as I also hope to establish a working relationship for any future transactions. The property is located in Virginia Beach. Many thanks!

Hey BP community!

I have a property that I can obtain using seller financing.

- Is it necessary to use an attorney during the process? I do not mind paying for the costs of one if the community says and will protect everyone involved in the traansaction.

- How much is it to typically work with an attorney during the seller finance process?

- I've inquired from a few law firms and costs so far would include initial consultation, drafting purchase and sale agreement, creation Deed of Trust and Note

- Each of the above with their own costs

- So what is necessary and proper to pay for? Are there other costs I should be aware of? Or does the above sound pretty routine and standard?

I appreciate all the help I've received so far and will give back to the community  but I am very much a newbie investor at the moment.

I have a property that I can purchase with seller financing in Virginia. Is it best to contact a real estate attorney in the state that the property resides in to set up contracts for seller financing? I see contracts on-line but wanted to know pros and cons from the BP community about this. Thank you in advance and yes I need to set up my profile. I've been reading a lot on the forums... but got tired of reading and finally decided to do something finally.
