@Kyle A. Isaacs I understand that and it's very smart to do but the issue I have is that I'm currently out of the country until my contract ends. To waive the VA fees is their a certain percentage of disability that needs to be claimed

@Chris Stroup that makes a lot of sense, can you use the VA loan to get a quad and I thought It would be cheaper build new construction.

Hello everyone, I came across an idea and I'm looking for some feedback, I'm currently in the military and my contract ends August 2 2021 I was wondering if it would be a wise thing to build a duplex using the VA loan because of the zero percent down. I could live in one unit and rent the other side out. My thoughts are starting the process prior to my separation that way I have a foot in the door. I know it would be a little harder after separation because lenders want to see current paystubs, is it wise to do so before separation or after. Thanks.

Good afternoon to whoever this may concern. I’m currently enlisted in the United States Air Force and at the moment, stationed in a foreign country. After reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, and listening to the Bigger Pockets podcasts, I’ve grown intrigued by the idea of eventually becoming my own boss and potential wealth being spread amongst my family. My question is, if possible, how can I safely invest in property in my home country, while not physically being able to be there? Thanks in advance and continue providing great content to viewers and fans like myself.
