Welcome to the site Vincent.

I'm pretty new to REI as well, haven't done any deals yet but working on it. BP has a ton of information and a lot of advice. Posting questions in the forums will yield some really helpful answers, and just reading through other topics will answer questions you might not have even thought about.

Good luck getting started.

Post: How to Find Properties with Back Taxes

I am new to Investing, and I'm getting involved in wholesaling. From reading and listening on BP, contacting property owners who owe back taxes seems like a good strategy to find sellers. I just don't know how to find these properties.

I've looked around the county(Franklin) auditor website and can find tax information on specific properties, but I'm wondering if there is a way to find a list of properties on which back taxes are owed.

I understand that all county auditor websites are different, but is it possible that I could find a list of all properties or owners that owe back taxes?

Is the county auditor website the correct place to look?

Any other advice about how to find distressed properties would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance,

Jack

@Jeremy Davis I do plan on attending the meeting on the 12th. Hopefully we can talk more about portfolio lending there.

I make some trips frequently on the weekend, so I will definitely have some podcasts to listen to.

Thanks, see ya Monday.

Hey Everyone,

Just created my own account on Bigger Pockets to get my investing career started. I'm still going to school for mechanical engineering, currently doing an internship over the summer, but I've wanted to get into real estate investing since high school. I will be graduating in a year and finally earning a real paycheck, so I figured now is a good time to get involved. The strategy I've been dreaming about since I got interested is to buy and hold.

I'm looking forward to meeting new people and learning as much as I can before I jump in.

Thanks,

Jack Manofsky
