Any agents or investors in Columbus or Cleveland Ohio? I live in Hawaii and choose Ohio to be my area for my first investment.  I plan to do long term rental with high cash flow. What city would be better?  Job and population growth seem big in those cities as well. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Out of state Investing is usually the preferred way of investing when your local market is very expensive. I also live in an expensive market so I decided to invest with turnkey companies out of state. I invest mainly in Cleveland so let me know if you want to connect.

Hi AJ! Thanks for the advice. My local market in Hawaii is also expensive which is why I would like to invest out of state right now. Was your first deal out of state? I would love to connect! I never thought about investing with a turnkey company.

Hi everyone, I'm getting started on my REI journey. Do any of you invest in IOWA? What cities would be good to invest in? The strategy I want to do is buy and hold. This will be my first investment and out of state as well. I live in Hawaii. Any recommendation is greatly appreciated! Thank you

Mandy,

Take advantage of the lower down payment options you have as a primary home buyer.  Live in the house for a short period of time and flip it over to a rental.  You can go conventional and put between 3-5% down save your money for renovations or TLC curb appeal upgrades and Refinance to take out some cash -Rent & Repeat!

Thank you for the advice! What do you think would be better Single family or multi family home? I’m thinking if I should do house hacking.

Hi I’m wanting to get into real estate investing but before I invest I would like to see what makes more sense.  I am currently living in a studio and paying rent. Should I buy a house first for me to live instead of renting? Or continue to rent and find an investment to rent out for cash flow? I live in Hawaii. Not sure if that matters. I need help. I would appreciate any advice! Thank you.
