@Nancy DeSocio I would love a copy of what you send out as a guide if you wouldn't mind.  Thank you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Very helpful and what I was hoping to hear. So grateful to have a community to help guide me along my way on this new journey.  I took some great notes and take aways, I especially like doing a new "move in/move out inspection"

Reaching out for some advice.  I just bought my first duplex (YAY!) . There are currently two set of tenants occupying the duplex and I am taking over their current lease.  Is there a formal letter/format of a form that I should send to them introducing myself and my contact information that someone could share.  Or is it ok to create my own?  I did reach out to a lawyer, but would love to avoid the high price he quoted.  Thanks.

Thank you for your insight.  I just printed off a pdf of the laws and will be reading and high lighting!!

I am currently looking for my first multi-family property to house hack.  A lot of the places I have been looking at have tenants in them.  One for example had a tenant lease going through 2022.  When I buy a property, do I have to honor the current lease, the lease price (a lot have had long term tenants to the rent is not comparable to other rentals in the area and needs to be raised) and any other information/insight anyone can offer in this area would be appreciated.  Thank you.
