Quote from @Rebecca Readus:

Hey guys!

I'm working more and more investors than I have in the past 24 months. I love it as I was an investor before being a real estate agent. My problem is I'm in a new area as we've moved from Chattanooga, TN to Orlando, FL in 2021. Since moving, I've primarily worked with home buyers and sellers. I now really need and want to network with wholesalers and contractors. I am going to be joining a local real estate investing group, but what are some ways you all suggest to network with the investing crowd in a new area, specifically Orlando, FL?

Thank you!

Hey Rebecca!! Sad to hear you left Chattanooga, but FL is amazing good luck out there!!I I am a licensed agent as well, but work with a real estate acquisitions firm that specializes in investment properties for investors. The investment world sure is an adventure! Hope you find some connections there! :)

Looking for some connections in real estate in Chattanooga and around the area! I am fairly new to the real estate world and know that quality connections are better than quantity! I would love to connect! If you know of any meet-ups also let me know! :)

I'm in Memphis and I really screwed my first buy and hold property up bad! Almost 50 houses later and I still lean on the lessons from that first epic failure! Memphis has been good to me and my clients. We are now really starting to see some good deals come around so I am still making sure I don't repeat mistakes.

God Luck!!

As the saying goes.... you learn the most by failure! That is awesome that you never gave up. The winners are the ones that never give up when it gets difficult! Learning to be comfortable being uncomfortable is when you grow!! Good luck, Dean!!

Are you looking for Tennessee specific experiences? So many different markets that provide different strategies. Nashville, Smoky Mountains, Memphis, Chattanooga, etc.

Yeah, any and all Tennessee specific experiences!

Hello my name is Jarvae I’m 32 I’ve been in the navy 14 yrs and I’m booking to get into real estate as I get closer to retirement. My goal is to do out of state investing and tenant occupied properties. Im looking for advice on getting started. I look forward to hearing from anyone willing to help.

Hey Jarvae, and welcome! That is awesome you are looking to start investing! And congrats on being soon to retire. That is a big accomplishment. I am currently located in TN, and would love to help you out as you jump into real estate investing! Definitely network with others who are more seasoned. The best way to learn is to hear from others that went through the same trials but ultimately saw the light and possibilities at the end of the tunnel! :)

Quote from @Esta Ryder:

I knew that it would/could change my life in college. Planned on making our first home purchase an investment property but didn't.  Got a later start in the investing game than we had planned but still did it. Personally, I would rather invest in real estate than the stock market any day.  I just talked to my staff about why I think that every real estate agent should own rental property.

That is awesome, Esta! Thank you for sharing. The more I network with other real estate agents, the more I see that most are starting to have their own investment projects on the side! I would love to hear more about your reasoning for believing every agent should also own their own rental property! :)

When did you know you could pursue investing whole-heartedly? How long of research and connection-making did it take to really see a difference in your progress??

Whether is was you seeing financial freedom, freedom with time, work-life balance....ect.? Tell me a little bit about your journey!!!
