Post: Best way for Realtors to connect with out of state Investors

Greetings BP,

I am a new Realtor and I was wondering what would be the best way to try and connect with out of State Investors. I am currently working with mostly residential Home Buyers but since REI is why I got into this in the first time I want to connect and work with Investors. I am currently planning on attending out local REIA, but what are some other ways to connect with Investors?

I appreciate the help, thank you!

@Attilla Vlad @Linval T.

Thanks for the Advice! I have already spent some time on realtor.com and zillow.com in about three more months I will have the down payment ready and enough cash in reserve to buy a decent sized single family home in my area. Its just that I live in Oceanway and grew up in the East Arlington area so that is pretty much all I know.

Your words of encouragment and knowledge are deeply appreciated! thanks for replies!

Hello and greetings! I am looking on doing some research in the Jacksonville markets and still do not know where to look. I have lived here all my life but have no clue on which areas to for. Currently I want to start of just using buy and holds until i feel comfortable with that and then move into doing a live and flip.

If you can, can you please tell me some areas to look into and if not how can I find a good deal when I see one? I know these are fundamental questions and the beginners book offered through BP offered some details but I need more.

Thank you for your time!

Hey Malcome,

Welcome to BP! It's a great community here. You will gain a TON of knowledge and who knows - maybe you'll even find a partner or two.

Knowing that there is a resource available to me that offers advice on pretty much any REI question has been a huge benefit to me and my business.

Investing in multifamily properties by using as little of my own money as possible is my game. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you in your journey!

The best way to jump into buy and hold ownership is to target an owner occupied multi family home with an FHA loan - which means only 3.5% down payment. Send me a message if you want more details. : )

Thanks Ms. Wishinki! I heard a podcast about these things you have mentioned, or perhaps it was in the big guide they have here. I will contact you if I need details. Thank you for the warm welcome and the information!

Thank you Mr. Stokes, I believe in due time I will do just that make mostly good decision in my REI Career. As far as video games goes, I believe I am suffering from some sort of withdrawal haha.

Hello, My name is Malcome Baggett I hail from Jacksonville, Florida and I am a budding Real Estate Investor. Currently I am taking an online real estate licensing course in addition to working full time and taking 16 college credits this term.

My time used to be spent playing League of Legends a popular online video game but recently I have quit that and funneled that free time into learning more and more about REI. I see many people on this forum have become successful and helped others become successful and I too know one day soon I will be there. Currently I know nothing much in terms of REI and Real Estate in general as I just came to this site and started my real estate course recently.

I hope to use buy and hold strategies in order to increase my cash flow and eventually move into a house and  do a flip in. Eventually I would like to do mainly buy and holds while occasionally flipping houses when I can make an oppurtunity happen. I also hold an interest in wholesaling but currently have very little knowledge on how to do it.

I may be new to these things but I am thirsty for knowledge whether it be through these forums or actual practice in the real world. Thank you for your time.
