I am back on BiggerPockets after a 6 year break. Life threw a few curve balls with the real estate game plan. My initial plan was to finish my time on active duty with the US Military and move to South Florida and start investments. I met a girl and 6 years later she is now my wife, and stayed in the Navy Reserves. We decided to stay in Germany and now our finances and savings are great. I am now getting the real estate bug back, but this time with ammunition and a new partner... My wife.  We are going to do this together!!!

My wife and I are going to start this business from Germany. I grew up in the Pittsburgh Market and after some research we are going to start there. I will continue to live and work in Germany, but I will have the ability to travel back and review my options from time to time. Therefore Teamwork makes the Dream Work. Hoping to sharpen my education and network.

Our goals:

2-5 Years - $2,500 in monthly pass income.

5-10 Years - $10,000 in monthly pass income.

Our strategy is to buy and hold. We feel very confident in achieving our goals with the right team in place.

We are excited to kick start this journey!!! ... again

I am currently serving as an Officer in the Navy. I want to turn that money into a real estate income future. My initial goal is start small with rehab properties probably investing in the Pittsburgh area. Currently I am taking my time studying and reading blogs and book. This is a great site. My goal is to invest and be my own Boss.
Thanks Dan

Raymond B.
Thanks for the help. I am fully aware of the processing plant coming in. It's in my old backyard. I will have a hard decision to make when the time comes. I have a strong background of the area, and my network is already established there. (Plus Steeler's Football) If it was purely business I would already own 4 houses in Pittsburgh. But I have a strong connection with the water, and I am starting to put my feelers out to see what the markets are like around a few areas in the south. Its going to be a tough decision. Thanks for the input. Any more insight would be greatly appreciated.

Quick background. I am currently serving as an Officer in the Navy. My commitment is up in a year. My next job will be working out of the Gulf of Mexico work one month than having the next month off. I will be making a pretty good pay check and I want to turn that money into a real estate income future. My initial goal is start small with rehab properties. I am very mechanical and can pretty much build my own house, so rehabs will be fun. Currently I am taking my time studying and reading blogs and book. This is a great site. I am grew up in Pittsburgh PA and it is almost an ideal location. But I looking at other locations on the east coast. Mainly South FL, Jacksonville FL, Charleston SC. Being in the Navy, I kind of want to be by the water haha. Anyway I was hoping to get some good insight. Thanks
