My tenants still paid thei rent as well. I did read on a thread when this whole thing first started about the steps they were going to take if their tenant could not pay and thankfully I did not have to take that advice because they kept working. I got the timely email form my property management company about my tenants payments received. I'm good over here.

@Jay Hinrichs
I’m currently house hacking a duplex and my tenants still paid on time. I did check on them to see if they needed anything because they are an older couple. They said they were good to go and I got payment on the 1st.

Hey BP, I’m new to the Killeen area and looking to continue in my investing. Looking to connect with some local investors in the area. I looked online and I see meetups in Austin but nothing local here in Killeen. My current strategy is to house hack my next property and collect a rental unit by April 2020. Anyone looking to connect or network, please reach out. Let’s make this money.

@Mike Burkett
The home inspector could have stated that the wiring was not to code and insist that it gets replaced. The buyer should have asked you to replace it first with a counter offer and then based on your decision, then walk away. They buyers agent can also interpret some of the things on there and could have told them that it’s fine or at least do the research on the wire if of the property. I am in the process of buying a duplex in Texas and the way that home inspection report reads can be scary. I had an agent with a wealth of knowledge and I went back to check the facts for myself. We submitted a counter offer based on the information provided by the home inspector and now is set to close at the end of this month.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Maggie and I am an investor in the Fort Washington area. I am originally from Fort Lauderdale, Fl and ended up in Maryland due to the fact that I am Active Duty Military. I currently invest part time and hopefully will transition into full time once I retire from the Military. I am still learning a few things when it comes to investing and I know this site will help me with the connections and education that I need to grow my Company to the next level. I have my sister who is my business partner that also invest part time. To date, we have wholesaled two houses and we are looking to wholesale a few more, before we get into rehabbing. Given the fact that I am still in the Military, I will be leaving the MD area and moving to San Antonio. I plan to study and learn that market so I can start investing in TX, while my business partner continues to invest MD. I came across BiggerPockets by recommendations from other investors. I have been on the site countless times and set up a free account months ago. I am finally putting what I am listening to in the podcasts into action by getting active in BP as well as participating in the forums.
Respectfully,
Maggie
