Hi guys!

Does anyone have any recommendations for a CPA experienced in real estate investing in the Austin/Round Rock area?

Hi guys!

My husband and I decided to purchase our first property in Round Rock, TX for STR. The house has an ADU, we would live in it, and rent out the main house (3 bed/2 bath).

Does anybody here have experience with STR in Round Rock? We're trying to understand why people would come to RR instead of Austin (prices on AirBnB seem to be quite similar in both locations).

We ran the numbers, analyzed the property multiple times, and based on AirDna, and other platforms, it looks quite promising. Not sure if we're missing something though.

Any input/real-life experiences would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Hi guys! I’m a new investor, and I’m planning to start with house hacking. I’m open to both, short or long-term, in Austin or the surrounding areas (mostly considering San Marcos).

I’m doing my research/analyzing deals, but wanted to see if anyone would be willing to share their experiences:

1. Do you find that one is more profitable than the other? (STR vs LTR)

2. Aren’t the property taxes eating all of your cash flow?! I’m not 100% sure if I’m making a mistake in my calculations, but each time, the taxes take a surprisingly huge part of the cash flow.

Any feedback/real-live experiences will be highly appreciated!

    Hi guys!

I’m a new investor, currently living and thinking of investing in Austin. However, I work remotely and could decide to invest somewhere else. I found some properties in Myrtle Beach that were priced very reasonably, and the property taxes are way lower here compared to Austin.

Not knowing anything about Myrtle Beach, would you guys say that it's a good area? It seems like a touristic place, is it profitable for STR?
