I say this all to say that we have a lot of experience working with the zoning department in City of Atlanta. All residential zones are now accepting ADUs! We build custom and templated designs every month. We have a full permit team and design team so that everything is up to code and ready for added equity in the end. Hi Rob,

I am looking to build one rather soon, but I was told that zoning might be a problem and that ADUs were only allowed in R-5 zones. Might be erroneous information. My goal is to build an ADU behind my property and have it built to code and fully permitted so that when I refinance, the addition will be included in the appraised value.

Is this something your company does in Atlanta?

I am looking for a contractor that can do site prep and permitting for an ADU install in one of my properties that is zoned R-75 in Atlanta. I'm new to the ADU process and need an experienced contractor that has a track record of installing an ADU from start to finish. I am planning on purchasing a prefab tiny house or container unit. Any recommendations?
