Does anyone know any hard money lenders who are active around Grand Rapids / West Michigan? Any leads or suggestions would be great.

BP Community,

I've yet to take the plunge into the world of online auctions yet, but I'm planning to in the near future and I am planning to bid on a property this coming week as it looks like it could have excellent flip potential.

I've browsed the forums and have done plenty of reading on the topic of online auctions, but I have a couple of questions that I'd love to get some insight on from the community. Any first-hand stories that you might be able to share or strategies related to these questions would be awesome.

1) What kind of fees/costs should I expect in closing on an online auction property? I see that there is typically an auction premium that I'll need to account for and I'll probably want an inspection and survey at some point as well. Any sort of breakdown of what I should be contemplating and including in my model would be greatly appreciated.

2) The property is still occupied by the previous homeowner. Any thoughts on what to expect with the eviction and strategies for the eviction process would be greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks everyone!

Tyler

Hi Everyone!

I recently found out about BP as I started to do some research to understand what the heck you need to do to make good real estate investments (more so from the buy and hold standpoint). This site is awesome and I've learned tons of valuable info around investing in real estate in a few short weeks. I'm excited to get to know everyone and to become part of the West Michigan real estate investing community. Feel free to drop by my profile and say hi...I'd love to connect!
