I'm from the UK and have just been reading up on Tax liens on properties and how some people purchase them for an income.

Would it not be possible for you to purchase the tax that he owes?

If you owned his tax lien then maybe you would have more of a bargaining chip to offer him a reasonable price for his property?

I got a section 8 notice through stating that my Hap payment is $704

but tenant rent is $0.

Why have they reduced the tenant portion to $0 when it was previously $96 ?The rent is $800 and the tenant has been paying $96 for almost a year now.

The rent is still $800 - so I would either be $96 short each month or I would have to terminate the lease?

Is this normal?

I just received a notice from Housing Authority of DeKalb and the box marked "Re-examination - Annual review of family income and/or composition. " has been ticked.

At the bottom of the page it has a notice:

Adjustment In Payment

HAP Payment $704

Tenant Rent $0

Total Rent to Owner $704

URP $120 - ???

Does anyone know what URP stands for?
