You should look into Ben Mallah. He has a youtube channel and is quite entertaining. I know he bought some property in Texas and had some problems, but that was back in the day. It was something to do with taxes and how they seem to be tax free on the outside but have hidden stuff elsewhere. Pretty sure that was just when he sold though. If your looking at keeping it to rent you might be ok.

@Naeem Smith Florida and Tennessee right now. They seem to have a good price to income ratio if they are true, and I believe have some better tax reliefs of some sort. Was looking at New York but, between taxes and renters taking advantage of landlords and the state encouraging it. I’m a bit scared to buy there, especially long distance. Where are you looking?

I am also new to BP and look forward to working with and learning new material from BP. I have currently read one of Brandon's books and one of Brian's books and listened to a ton of podcasts. I am currently house hacking a duplex and look forward to owning more real estate in the near future here in the northern Utah area. Although, I am looking at long distance real estate for a bigger, "bang for buck".
