Thanks Theresa.  I did check with the Marshall's office and they wouldn't help. Said I had to talk to property management company, which of course I have many times already.  If I reach out to them again I'll ask about paying off-duty Marshall's to do it.

They won't help because their plate is full?  They should be able to put you in line to get it done.  If it is because your PM is supposed to be doing it and isn't, then you need to tell your PM to get to work because you are losing money and aren't happy.

Theresa, They didn't say why they would answer my questions about backlog or when
I might expect a lockout date.  They basically just blew me off - several times.  I do have a meeting with my PM this Friday morning.

Lance - who is the PM?

They likely missed their deadlines or the tenant is an expert at gaming the system.

The PM company is Mynd.  What deadline are you referring to? My understanding is that the Marshall's office sets the date and informs the landlord or PM of the date.

Hi all, I’m hoping to gain some insight on the timeline for evictions in Fulton County. I live out of state (in Washington) but have a few rental properties in the Atlanta area that are managed by a property management company. One of my tenants quit paying rent almost a year ago. We filed to have them evicted and the court issued a writ last December. My property management company tells me they are still waiting on the Marshall’s office to schedule the lockout. I know the Marshall’s office had a backlog of evictions to handle, but 8 months seems like a long time. Do any of you know about how long it typically has been taking the Marshall’s office to schedule lockouts?

Thanks.

I've got 2 single-family rentals in the Atlanta area.  I live in Washington State and don't feel like I can manage the properties on my own.  I'm growing more and more unhappy with my current property managers (a large company that manages properties across the country).  I feel like they don't communicate with me well or in a timely manner, and that some of the repairs completed at the properties have been poorly done.

Do you have any recommendations for excellent property managers in the area?
