Hi Trevor,

Thanks so much for getting back to me, will definitely check out those website! We liked the look of North End, however Veterans park and Areas of Garden city may look to be a little more within out budget and still very central as we heard both areas are improving.

Cheers for the help

Luke

Hi All,

Moving to Boise in the next 12 months, currently a journeyman carpenter from New Zealand. My wife and I are looking at a house in the North End or Veterans Park (open to suggestions on other areas handy to the city). A lot of the homes have small sq ft area, so we were looking at say a 2 bed 2 bath and extending it into a 4 bed 2 bath in order to create some equity.

The questions I had if anyone can help;

Are there any local government regulations around extending a home in those areas? I am aware will need to apply for building permits etc but are any of these houses considered historic?

The North end obviously has a great reputation, is Veterans Park similar?

What is the demand for rentals like in both these suberbs?

Thanks for your time :)

Luke
