@Benji Klassen as long as you make sure to know your own comfort limits its always good to be approved for as much as possible. Just because youre approved doesnt mean that you have to use the total approval amount, but it also provides a bit of a buffer incase you run into a situation that may require the additional approval amount (ie. Purchase + Improvements, HELOC, etc)

@Dominic Holt you also have to factor in what you would be spending in rent by not being in the other side or if you didn't buy, and then ontop of your rental income for the other side maybe look into renting out a room on your side or doing an Air Bnb. Even if you come out of it breaking even day to day after expenses (or close to it), the property is being paid down and equity is growing (plus you get to live in a house you own rather than an apartment rented from someone else)

Hello,

I know that Canadians are a minority on the forum (and that our little province would make up only a very small percentage of those members), but I am looking to connect and expand my network with other investors and industry professionals here in Prince Edward Island.

I am an investor as well as a mortgage broker located here in Charlottetown PEI, and would be happy to meet other like minded people here in the province.

@Luke Crighton. Many of us would 100% pay for the pro membership if we had access to Canadian specific content and/or networking
