Hello all,

I am looking into Reno, NV as an investing opportunity. Anybody have any insight to the health of the market? I am specifically interested in SFR value add opportunities, as well as, 2-4 unit properties. Any insight into the market in this market would be much appreciated. Thanks for any help.

Hey everyone,

I bought a property in my name a little over a year ago. I recently moved out of the property this past month and would like to turn it into a vacation rental property. I would like to do some minor improvements (inside cosmetic and furnishings) to have it ready to go for a vacation rental. I would like to use my Self Directed IRA for these expenses and keep this property and and profits or cash flow in my SDIRA. In order to do this, do I have to change the property owner from my name to my SDIRA entity as the owner?

Hello bigger pockets community, I am just starting out in real estate and have a question on best path to pursue for my situation. I am in the military and stationed overseas for at least another year and two months. I have been reading books and learning as much as I can through the BiggerPockets website. I want to start out and get my feet wet in some way with real estate investing due to my geographical restraints I thought turn key investing or going more towards the hard money/private lending route as a financial partner. On anyone expertise in these areas what are the pros and cons of these that you see with my situation and what path do you see as a better start? Thanks for any help. Jarrett

Hello everyone. Can anyone help me with information using your IRA (Roth) for real estate investing? Specifically, can you setup a self-directed IRA and use that money to invest in your own real estate investing, say for down payments or rehab costs? If not, is there any other way to have control over my IRA funds to utilize those funds for my own real estate investing purposes? Thank you all.

Hello everyone,

I am a new member to BP and new to real estate investing. I am in the military and currently stationed overseas in Japan, however, my wife lives in Surf City, NC where we have a townhouse together. In less than a year I will be reassigned to Fort Bragg and will begin my real estate venture in that area. I look forward to meeting many people in the area and learning as much as I can from investors here at BP to learn from them and hopefully avoid some of the mistakes they made when they first started. Thanks all.
