Just wanted to let you know we are having a real estate meet up on March 15th @ 6 located at Twisted Track Brewpub. Hope you can join.

As of two weeks ago my partner and I officially own a rental property after about a year of looking and trying to find the best deal. We believe we have found a great first rental property (duplex). Brick structure that seems to be very low maintenance with good tenants showing they will take care of the property.

My question is what do we do next...? We would like to keep investing and using our cash flow towards another property. What would your suggesting be? Another duplex? Try a single family home? Or look larger into a quadplex or something of that nature?

Happy to have the first property in our name, but looking to expand and keep this train rolling.

I am new to real estate investments as far as making a purchase of property. Currently I have two friends that one wants to buy a flip property to rehab and sell in the short-term. The other friends doesn’t want to purchase himself a job and is looking more for a duplex or steady rental income. And then there is me who is caught in the middle of wanting the quicker return of a flip, but also wants to have steady cash flow month to month. Is there a way I can leverage in both of their activities to get the best of both worlds?

First post on BiggerPockets so I’m not sure if I am in the right forum. I am new to the real estate investment game and would like to know if there are any mentors in the Radford or Roanoke Virginia area? I would be willing to volunteer my time to help with any process in the real estate investment game to better understand beginning to end.

Does anyone have a recommend group or single person that could help get me started on my real estate journey.
