Post: How To Find Code Violation Properties?

I had considerable difficulty getting a list of code violations from Arlington County, Virginia.  I finally made a Freedom of Information request for the data, and was told it would cost me $2,000.  The reply quoted the cost per hur for an employee to assemble the list.  It worked out that they claimed it would require one-full-time employees - working full-time over four and a half weeks to compile the list for me.   I responded that that seemed like nonsense and they responded it is a large list and would take hours to compile.  This strike me as though they are saying this information is not automated.  Anyone had any experience with this [Freedom of Information Requests] or better places to get the information?

Post: Looking for up to date Sources for Pre-foreclosure

I am looking for sources that have very up-to-date current pre-foreclosure information.  I have tried both list brokers and websites that claim to have latest info; however, I find the information is dated (too old) and properties have already one to foreclosure i.e. (no longer pre-foreclosure).  My day job does not give me time to go to the country record myself to research this.  So before I hire someone to do this research for me; does anyone know of an online source or list broker with very current up to date info on 30-60-90 day late?

It sounds like you might be available to research, administrative stuff or leg work.  Is that right?

Hi Corey

I am in Arlington and done fix and flips throughout Metro DC and Central Virginia. Let me know if you have any wholesale deals, or become interested in a JV option, or would like some help finding investors or lenders.

Best,

Chip

I have been involved in real estate, both fix and flip and buy and hold, for severak years.  I am currently buying apartment buildings preferably 30 to 100 units or more, occasionally 15-30 units.
