Hello Luke,

I'm currently studying and educating myself by reading Avery's book and plan on using The Short Term Shop on my first STR purchase. I was kind of confused by how the sweat equity partner pays the money man. Does he manage the property for free and make his mini-mortgage payments out of his pockets?

Can someone please explain to me what a mini-mortgage is and how it works when you have a partnership on a STR and one person is the "Money" and the other is the "Sweat equity partner?" How does the sweat equity partner pays the money partner?

For a first time investor investing in STR's, do you think it would be best to start off with an Airbnb Arbitrage or buying a home then putting it on Airbnb? Why or why not?
