Post: RE accountant recommendations?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on an accountant I can use come 2019 that has experience with real estate investors. I previously had my taxes done by a family member's accountant in a different state, but this year I'd like an accountant in Texas.

I have money coming in from rent, investments, my regular job, and other side things, so I'd like to work with a professional to help me do everything correctly next year. I tend to ask a lot of questions, so someone that doesn't mind explaining things to me and helping me save the most I can would be incredible! Thanks.

Cross posting in Ft. Worth as well.

Congrats on graduating and good luck on your first condo!! (did you try using the BP calculators? if you expect it to cash flow over 100 maybe it is a good deal)

I'm the same way in that I wish I knew about FIRE when I could have gotten a job at 16!

The condo deal didn't work out because I can't rent out individual rooms. I made my own calculator. I really love Excel haha. I was expecting cash flow of anywhere from 200-400 a month. Will keep looking. And will take a look at the BP calculator!

Thank you! I hope I get the place! It's not the best deal or property but should cash-flow a few hundred.

I contacted a real estate agent and then got pre-approved for a loan! Then I started looking at properties and chose one! Waiting to hear back from the seller because I agreed on their counter-offer. In the mean time I'm trying to decide how to choose my loan. Cash required for settlement will be anywhere from net $6k to $24k.

I'm not being very picky or trying to get an amazing deal so it's been easier.

Where do you find the meetups? Meetup.com?
