The Carleton Sheets late night infomercials got me interested in REI. I did fall for the "I make $100,000/yr working 5 hours a week" type claims some of the folks on the informercial made, but I soon found out how difficult and time consuming REI can be.

At the end of the day those infomercials got me searching for more information. I'm thankful of that.

Hello Matthias! Welcome to the forum. I'm new to the forum as well but have found some valuable information on here that is helping me with my business.

Another success story regardless of age. That's one example why REI can be so great.

I'm new to this forum but I just wanted to share some of recent experience with yellow letter marketing.

I went "Driving for Dollars" last week and compiled a list of around 60+ houses that were vacant, ugly, or both.

I sent out handwritten (I will eventually pay a service to do this. Very time consuming) yellow letters with red ink.

Two days after I put the letters in the mail, I started receiving calls. 6 owners so far have called and it breaks down as 4- appts, 1- not interested, 1- curse out (he cursed my answering machine out, lol) Some Will, Some Won't, Next!!

I will keep everyone up to date if any deals come out of these appts.

Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcomed.

@Jon K. Right now I plan on growing my business with subject to, lease options, & seller financing deals. Eventually I will grow to doing larger multi family and commercial deals. I don't want to limit myself. If I can get the numbers to work and it's a great deal then I want to be able to put the deal together.

Hello to all on Bigger Pockets. I am a new member from Fayetteville, NC. I have a few deals under my belt (lease options, sub 2) but I'm looking to take this business to the next level and become a full time investor. I'm seeking more knowledge and looking to network with other investors.
