Thanks @Shawn McCormick, we are definitely considering Orlando in the near future. @January Johnson thanks for that information.  I actually read that book and that is what inspired me to consider STRs. I will join the Facebook group. I'm sure I will have some questions soon.

Quote from @Alyson Gordon:

Agree with reading Short Term Rental, Long Term Wealth. Also listen to STR Secrets Podcast and the Short Term Show. Ruben Kanya has a pod called the Real Estate Experiment and he has a portfolio in Atlanta.

If you have any 3-4BR+ properties you may want to just convert some LTR to STR instead of starting from scratch! There are many resources available no matter what you decide :)

Thanks for the wealth of information, Alyson.  I will listen to those podcasts.  We do have some 3 BR properties and that is definitely something we could consider.  Thanks for the advice.

Thank you Asif and Alice for the words of wisdom.  I will follow your advice so I can gain more insight.  Alice, I will keep you in mind if we decide to invest in Orlando.

Hi Clayton,

Thank you for the response.  Most of our rental properties are in Virginia, we have about 10 doors here in Georgia.  I'm currently just researching short-term rentals with hopes of jumping in the market within the next year or so. Currently, we're doing market research to see what location would be best.

Hello,

My husband and I have a portfolio of 40+ doors of long-term rentals.  We are looking to expand our portfolio to include short term rentals and we are also looking to start real-estate development.  I'm looking forward to learning more on this platform.
