Hey @Aaron Brown!

Thanks for the quick reply! I ended up using Shawn Huss from Chemical Bank, but I know people who used Bobbie King and heard she’s great! Good luck on your hunt!

Thanks,

Lloyd

Aloha @Aaron Brown

I also just took a trip to Indy and recently got an accepted offer on a duplex over there. I’m also in the process of looking for a good property manager, and we got to meet two or three different property managers while we were there, however I want to look for others. While trying to look for recommendations, I came across this post and it’s filled with a lot of good information! Did you happen to decide on a property management company? Curious to see which way you went!

Thanks for the good info.

Aloha!

I’m an out of state investor closing on my first deal in the Indianapolis area. Buying a duplex and looking for a great property manager to manage the property for me. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Lloyd

Aloha @Caleb Rigby!

Some of my friends have family that work as real estate agents out of Ogden and they suggested to invest in some multi-family properties there. I was trying to familiarize myself with that area to best look into it and do some of my own research there. Thank you for the suggestion!

Aloha,

My name is Lloyd and I am a newbie here on Bigger Pockets. Been reading a lot of books to get started on real estate investing, but want to/ ready for the next step. I'm 28 years old and live in Honolulu, Hawaii where the cost of living is just crazy expensive hence the want to begin my real estate investing journey. I am fortunate enough to have good friends who started real estate investing and we have been talking about investing in Ogden, Utah. Some of the things I was wondering as I start this journey is:

What is the market like? What are the good/ bad neighborhoods? Been reading some previous threads and noticed that East Ogden seems to be a safe bet.

What questions/ ground rules should I ask a property manager?

Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Lloyd
