Thanks Martin. :)

It is a small space, and we are redecorating it to give it the look of a contemporary office. We are recruiting many people and we want new team members to love the space. I have spoken to a couple of contractors and am in the process of shortlisting the apt ones. With a tight budget, things are difficult. But I have received a few inputs and that's helping me take the project forward.

Hello !

I am Livia and I run an office in Oakland. We are planning to redecorate our space. I have spoken to a few interior decorators, and they cost a bomb. They undertake turnkey projects and say they will take care of the entire renovation from scratch to finish.

I am wondering if I should hire them to give me only design ideas, and get the exceution done myself. I can look for independent contractors who handle just their specific work, and I can work with each of them individually on each task separately. I am aware this would be a herculean task, to first find such contractors and then execute the entire project smoothly. But this will help me save a lot of money.

What do you recommend? Have any of you handled your renovations with independent contractors? Was the experience hassling? Any tips will be highly appreciated.

Regards,
