Bob Zachmeier's 9th annual Real Estate Note Business Builder is coming up soon in Tucson on October 19-20, 2017. This is a MUST ATTEND event for all serious note investors.  I first met Bob at the Note Investor Summit (another extremely worthwhile conference) in San Diego, 2015 and I began mentoring under him after hearing him present at that conference.  Since then, I have funded 15 notes and am about to close on 4 more in the next few days. Bob has a radio show in Tucson and does a weekly webinar for subscribers as well as the annual conference.  I cannot recommend Bob highly enough!!!!

There's a great read on corporations & LLC's, "Rich Dad Advisors: Start Your Own Corporation" by Garret Sutton if you want some detailed info on various entities and their advantages/disadvantages.

To answer Bob's question, there was a lot of education, a lot of creative ideas on alternative note investing, but there were also plenty of vendors. I am such a newbie that the information was truly overwhelming. I spoke to someone else there who is not a newbie and it was pretty overwhelming for them too. Having said that, you have to start somewhere and although I would have liked to see the summit geared more towards a newbie like myself, I think it offered a lot of information for everyone. The cost was $397.00 & is an annual event.

I just found out about this event which is January 20-24 (on now). I only know what the website says about the event, education on all aspects of note buying. There are a number of sponsors. This is the third annual Note Investor Summit in San Diego. There are networking sessions but no sales pitches, it is strictly education.  If you want more info you can go to: http://www.noteinvestorsummit.com/

Does anyone have experience with this event? And is anyone going? I am interested in learning about notes and am wondering if going to the summit in San Diego is worthwhile or if I can get all the information I need here on BP. Any opinions??

Justin, your comment intrigues me. Are you talking about being a hard money lender?

Hey everybody from San Diego. I am a new investor looking to meet and greet and to come up with a mastermind group. I want this to be mutually beneficial for all, power in numbers & networking! I am tentatively planning a meeting in early January. Please PM me if interested.

Hi Parker,

I live in East County and would be interested in meeting up with you to network. I have another meeting in Mission Valley at 7:30 PM. How long does the SDCIA meeting go? You can PM me at Lisa Forbing Howell.

I'm looking for an overall education on tax liens rather than a specific question at this time. Can anyone recommend a good book?
