@Scott Demots thanks for saying hello. I am starting to really dive into learning about duplexes and that's great they've been successful for you.

@Carlton B. I think the large luxury complexes appeal to people who want a sense of community within the building-hence the many amenities (clubhouse, firepit, business center, etc). Our target market was people out of college with their first 'real' job, mostly single and generally pretty social.

@Nicole Pettis Great to meet you as well! I enjoyed the meeting and plan to attend more. It's encouraging to talk to others and the speakers were informative. Thanks for introducing yourself.

@Dorothy York Hope the golf event went well, thanks for saying hi!

Thanks for the welcomes. Looking forward to learning more. @Dawn Anastasi I would love to but we are moving tomorrow so we have a busy day. Thanks for the heads up.

@Robert Taylor Thanks for saying hello. Property management was a good fit for me and gave me a base knowledge of how to manage tenants and perform for the investors so now I'm looking to use those skills and begin exploring the duplex/multifamily route. I have some great stories I could share, namely involving the clubhouse's security camera footage!

Hey Jeremiah. I'm new on here and this will be my first deal as well. Like you, I have listened to podcasts and they make me excited to learn how to make a confident decision. You probably have nicer weather down there in AL

Hi there. I stumbled across a podcast that I listened to while painting my bedroom. Since it was taking multiple coats I was able to listen to podcast after podcast and was hooked! I was impressed by the wealth of knowledge on the site and am pumped to learn more so that I can contribute income while continuing to stay at home with our 8 month old daughter, Evelyn.

A few things about me:

-Past leasing agent at a 270 unit apartment complex, screening process experience

-Past property manager at a luxury apartment complex 113 units downtown Milwaukee

-Past property manager and marketing coordinator at a new lease up luxury property in Minneapolis, MN

-looking to buy a multifamily building and potentially move into one of the units

-Excited to begin learning how to be confident in the investment.
