I've got a lender I've worked with before for primary residences. I'd would like to know if anyone has recommendations for investor friendly lenders in and around Ogden, Weber County, Utah area?

Thanks so much for your post, @Drew Clements! I keep reading about the REIA meetups and am thinking it might be an excellent place to start to practice my RE lingo!

I agree that there is a sweet spot between fixer upper and cosmetic upgrades. I'm somewhat handy, but slightly impatient with myself. I just had someone remodel my master bathroom (not very mustachian of me I know). I've budgeted no more than $5,000 for fixes for that reason!

Again, I really appreciate you reaching out. Good luck to you as well, neighbor!

Thank you for reading and feel free to ask any questions or simply say hello! I'd love to meet some new faces and hopefully provide what knowledge I can about real estate and Ogden in particular.

I'd like to give a little insight into how I arrived at BP.

It all started with idea of extreme early retirement and Mr. Money Mustache. I've read extensively about SWR and how to calculate what it would take to retire early. This was something I could do somewhat passively as I finished school, which I did this year. At one point my SO and I were saving about 60% of our income, mainly through auto-investment in Betterment on a weekly basis.

I've decided that since I now have more time on my hands I want to withdraw a portion of my Betterment investment and use it for my first rental property. I hope that I can gain the knowledge I need from BP in order to do that in a smart way.

Thank you, @William Hochstedler! Have you dealt much in the Ogden area? I am totally in love with it! I grew up right around the surrounding downtown area, so if there's any knowledge that I can give  to this community (which is probably relatively small at this point) it would be how certain neighborhoods feel. I'm so looking forward to finding my first property here.

Thanks again for your post, appreciate the welcome!
