Hi BP Community, 

I have a few long-term rental units, but am thinking about transitioning into the more lucrative space of STR. I am looking in the Bryson City, NC area as it has a lot of outdoor adventure opportunities, and seems to be a more reasonable price point than some of the other towns around the Smokies. Would love to get feedback on if this is a good area to invest in and what the STR market is looking like. Thanks!

@ C Coley Mitchell I have started to hear some good things about San Souci area, but haven't ventured over there yet. I appreciate the tip and will definitely start to look into it. Congratulations on the first property buy, that is exciting!

Hi! My husband and I moved to Greenville, SC about 6 months ago and are eager to begin our investments in the Upstate area. Primarily, we are looking for long-term rentals and have begun our search already. I just wanted to get thoughts on best areas to invest in for optimal cash-flow and of course to begin connecting to the BiggerPockets community. Thanks!
