Tyrel McAllister, where are you investing?

I have an uncle who lives in Albuquerque, absolutely loves it. He has just gotten into investing, and his first deal was a tremendously successful one. Seems there are some units ripe for the picking out there.

For sure, welcome to BP Andrew!

Spent some time in Spokane a couple of years ago. Really nice looking town in parts, seemed like a great place to invest. How was your trip @Matthew Cullen?

Great introduction New Guy from Grantsville! Welcome to Biggerpockets, you've picked a great, positive community to involve yourself in, best of luck!

Seems there is a reason they didn't want to manage this unit themselves! Check and see what actually needs to be done in the flat, could very well be repairs needed and their concerns are justified.

Talked to Seed Capital/WCAP again and they sorted it out. I was able to get more capital, and now the net interest rate is better. I changed my mind, and ended up going with their services, and was finally able to get the credit I needed. Slice of humble pie, my math wasn't on the level.

My credit score had risen and so I qualified for a much better rate.

I understand it's common to underestimate the amount of funding I would need to flip a rehab. Any tips and tricks you use to ensure that you won't go over budget during your rehab?

Here is another article that is pretty relevant to the discussion at hand: https://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/sports-st...

It's my understanding that Arnold Schwarzenegger made his money first through Bodybuilding, then through real estate investment, then through acting. I remember a great Nerdist podcast between him and Chris Hardwick where he discusses this at length. Arnold is a great example of how the sportsman's attitude and dedication applies well to most any industry.
