A lot of great questions. You can definitely make real estate investing a career and make six figures a year. The key is putting in the work. I would shy away from schools or so called "gurus". They make their money selling you stuff that you can find on your own. My advice would be to find someone in your area who has been investing successfully for some time and see if he or she has the time and desire to mentor you. There are also a number of investment clubs around the country who will take on younger people to do the dirty work. Remember, it's all about how much you want to put in. I spent the late nineties driving properties and knocking on doors. That's the best education you can get. Good luck to you!!

OK cool, I live in the washington,dc area Do any of you guys know any got mentors out here or any programs for real estate investing?

what is the main difference between a real estate agent and a real estate broker?

A broker is licensed by their state to conduct real estate transactions, i.e., buying and selling of real property.

An agent is basically a licensed individual who works for a broker.

In a typical setup, a broker will manage a real estate office while the agents do all the "heavy lifting", such as showing properties, filling out contracts, handling phone calls, coordinating inspections and appraisals, etc.

OK thank you buddy

Thank all of you guys for your excellent advice, I really appreciate it. Maybe i should start off as an real estate agent or an real estate broker first.

what is the main difference between a real estate agent and a real estate broker?

Hi i recently went back to school to get my high school diploma and now i'm looking for a Career. i have some questions for you guys-

Can real estate investing be a career or more like a side thing?

Are there schools i could attend to learn real investing?

Also how do people start? like what if i don't have any money myself for investing, could i still be able to do real investing, like getting loans or something?

Is real estate still profitable, i have heard alot of people saying that real estate is dead, is this true?

If it is still profitable, it is highly possible to make six figures?

I'm really willling to put in the work that i have to to learn what i need to succeed :D
