Post: How to estimate repairs

Hey Dan,
I've been wondering the same thing, I'm not sure if some contractors are willing to give estimates for a small fee or something. I've read from some people to actually ask the owner of the properties what needs to be fixed and what cosmetic improvements they would make if they had the time. I'm not sure how reliable this info would be though, can't wait to here what other people have to say.

Hi everyone, I'm a new poster to this forum and new to real estate. I've read every post written in the wholesale section and also an ebook that another person on this forum was kind enough to send me. Long term plans are to use wholesaling to earn an income and also to use that income to purchase rental properties in the future. Right now though, I am putting the rental idea asside and putting all of my energy into getting a wholesale business going. I don't have any questions for this post, just thought I would introduce myself.
