I'm in southern California. The pre-foreclosures I'm looking at are due to the inability to pay the mortgage. I didn't know the bank can foreclose for any other reason.

I was told that if I purchase a pre-foreclosed property from the owner they have the right to reclaim the property for the price I paid for it within 2 years. Is this correct?
