I'm looking for cash flow. I'd like my money to be doing something rather than just sitting in the bank.  I prefer to buy when the market is down too and that's why I'm probably going to wait at least until the presidential election is over.

With my original post i was hoping to gauge local investors feelings about purchasing in this market.

That's basically where I'm looking now. I see a lot of room for growth over there. Do you rent any of your units to section 8 tenants? Any thoughts or insights on section 8?

I own my house in Oakland and I've owned one before. I've never owned investment property though.

Hi everyone, I'm looking to purchase amulti family property in Oakland California. I have a decent amount of capital but I'm worried to buy a property(duplex or 4plex) with the market so high. Any advice from Oakland area investors would be much appreciated. Thank you!
