Investigating a property in the mountains for a househack deal, and in the disclosures we found a vertical crack in the foundation. I remember on the BP podcast hearing someone advise just stay away from any cracks in the foundation (automatic pass). However, reading on the internet, it seems like vertical cracks are very common and most homes have 1-3 after a few years post-construction (T/F?). WHAT DO YOU THINK, and what follow up questions and inquiries need to be investigated?

Hello everyone!

Me: I am a traditional Chinese Medicine doctor + clinic owner, surfer, world traveler, and mama (/servant) to an especially lovely Kelpie pup. Expert on Santa Cruz breweries and food scene. Very enthusiastic about this next journey into REI. As a young profession in a HOT market, I am looking for house hacking opportunities, and investing out of state.

Seeking: REI opportunities out of state (NV, AZ, midwest, sh*t literally anywhere but CA). Currently seeking out contacts in southern Maine to find deals. Refer your best agents, please!

Thanks! Looking forward to connecting

Amazing transformation, you must be hooked! If you don't mind answer a few questions:

Did you house hack it by living in it during the remodel? Why did you choose to flip instead of hang on to it for cash flow or BRRRR

How was it funded?
