@Leanne Zeng Are you referring to events or mentoring programs. There will be plenty or virtual events/conferences this year. Hopefully in person. There is plenty  of info out there on this forum about mentoring programs. I would start by looking in your local area for some meetups or real estate related events to meet local investors.

@Bruce Lynn I have never been to a Sumrok event. Sounds like you enjoyed it? Have you been to any other events hosted by other multifamily leaders?

Thanks for your reply, Justin! Unfortunately I didn't find any local meetups in real estate in my area...I just looked it up.  Do you have any online events/conferences to recommend?

I've been to a couple of Sumrok conferences And I thought they were really good value for the money.  Lately he's been putting some of the conferences online during the covid.  Normally I would say it's better to go in person but right now online is the next best thing.  the price of admission is very low for the knowledge that you get.  Of course they're going to try to sell you on a expensive membership and you have to decide if that's worth it to you while you're there.

Brad used to work for a lifestyles years ago.  They also have some free online workshops but at some point they want you to buy a membership to be in the club.

Thanks for your reply, Bruce. Yeah I'm thinking about attending one of Sumrok conferences.

If you're generally looking to network and continue to drive education, here are some suggestions that have worked for me:

-Join a mastermind group - this doesn't need to be a local group (mine isn't), but helps massively with accountability and moving progress forward - Michael Blank has one as to many of the coaching programs out there

-Join at least one local meetup group focus on multi-family (MF masters, etc)

-As others suggested, attend one or more of the larger national meetup events like MFIN, Sumrok, Rod K's bookcamp, etc

Thanks for your reply, Andrew! I will definitely check out the programs you mentioned :)

I'm a student of one of the groups you mentioned and have found it to be worthwhile. Definitely attend one of their weekend seminars....it's a good way to learn more for a small cost. Have you searched the forum for the names of the programs? There is quite a bit of discussion here already. Or even look at my post history for more information.

Hi Paul! Thanks for your reply. I will read posts about the education programs and your post history :)

Hi @Leanne Zeng Where are you located and what made you choose Texas? I'm in a MF facebook group and many of those  women took Rod K's program. I'm familiar with MF courses/programs/groups in Canada, but not US.

@Zorya Belanger, thanks for your reply! I'm located in Vancouver, BC. I am actually also looking for investment opportunities in Canada. I thought this forum was US exclusive...Thanks for introducing Rod Khleif. I will check him out. May I ask if the MF Facebook is exclusive to certain groups? Am I able to apply to join?

@Leanne Zeng Texas is a great state to invest in Multifamily, for sure. I moved over here over a year ago based on that premise. And I am so glad I moved!

So, I'm trying to figure out if you are looking for paid mentoring and/or just networking to find partners, two totally different approaches to get started in Multifamily.

I did both when I started years ago. I really really like Joe Fairless, so you can Google him and he is one of the best in the industry, in my opinion.

On the other hand, if you just looking for syndicators to partner with and learn alongside them on a live deal, then you just need to network like crazy to find active syndicators in the Texas market of interest to you.

Go to Meetup and search for online events in the Texas city you are interested in and join those groups. Believe me, there are plenty!

Hi @Ola Dentis, thanks for your reply!

"I'm trying to figure out if you are looking for paid mentoring and/or just networking to find partners, two totally different approaches to get started in Multifamily. " This is a great point. I am looking for both at this moment. I will check out Joe Fairless. His book Best Ever Syndication Book is on my reading list (actually the next book to read).

Thanks for introducing meetup! I didn't know they also host online events now. That's very helpful.

There is a guy from Quebec. I need to look him up but he focuses more on Canadian Multi Family.

There should be plenty if your looking for US focused. I think Grant Cardone does it but not 100% sure..

Thanks for your reply @Hai Loc!

Yes I am actually also looking for investment opportunities in Canada...I thought this forum was exclusively for investments in the States. It would be great if you could share with me the info on MF investment in Canada :)

Hello everyone.

I'm a real estate investor based in Canada and have experiences in real statement development in both residential and commercial properties. Currently I am exploring opportunities in the States, particularly in Texas (will expand my point of interest more in the future). I am looking to join an investment club where it allows me to meet fellow investors and future partners. My goal is to become a general partner and manage portfolios with my team.

I am wondering if you could share with me your experiences/opinions about MF investment clubs that you know? I have heard good things about Brad Sumrok and Lifestyle Unlimited and would like to learn more about them and other investment clubs.

Thanks in advance!
