@Mark Shelstad - It's very doable, the only piece that gets challenging is the details of the RFP or Budget. ClickUp can track complex data, but it can't do formulas like Airtable or Excel. Most of the time, people will track the leads/jobs inside ClickUp and then embed to Google Sheets for the stuff that requires more complex calculations. So, for example, your task might be a property "123 Main Street" and when you open that task, you'd embed a Google Sheet in the description of the Task.

@Renee Fulcer - In my other life, I create YouTube content about how to create templates in ClickUp. If it gives you any trouble, let me know and I'd be happy to help!

@Jonathan Pflueger - the ability to "nest" projects like Russian Dolls is probably the biggest upgrade you'd experience if you switched from Trello -- big upgrade! I'll check for your message.

If you don't coordinate with a team and don't need a bunch of reminders about due dates, I'd probably just look to build a free Airtable or Google Sheets setup. A database-style CRM + PM can be super fast and lightweight.

However, if you like the "feel" of a project manager (or if you plan to scale up) ClickUp would be the one I'd jump to next -- more powerful than Wrike or Asana but a lower cost/minimum user than Monday.com. ClickUp would be a good jack-of-all to allow you to track the leads, back-and-forth, and details of a project in one spot.

Hey! I'm a ClickUp expert (but REI rookie) who just recently registered with BP to learn more about investing. Gotten a lot of value so far out of "lurking" these forums, happy to answer any questions about something I do actually know a lot about if it might help.

If nothing else, I'll make a note for future folks who stumble onto this thread that ClickUp does, indeed, sync with Google Calendar in both directions...even on the free plan. 👍
