I'm assuming its very little to no  inventory in the competitive Long Island market. Therefore you will have to be creative in the ways you will find an apartment complex. Try looking for seemingly mismanaged properties ie.) properties with high vacancy rates. I'm not sure why you are looking in Long Island but if you are open to it, look for apartment complexes in surrounding areas, don't just limit yourself to one area.

I want to know are there any research materials or real estate journals I can get that will give me up to date information on trends or statistics on a given area ???
