@Andrew Smith

That makes sense Andrew. Thank-you for your time.

@Andrew Smith

If the tenants signed a lease saying that they would pay the utiliites you don’t think they can legally be made to pay for the full amount of electricty they used before the solar panel credit?

The solar panel company has bills showing exactly how much electricity was generated. Can’t they be charge that?

@Andrew Smith

We live in Oregon not California. Do you think the same laws are applicable?

@Andrew Smith

There is nothing in the lease about the solar panels. It simply says that tenants are to pay all utilities.

@Andrew Smith

So a landlord can not force a tenant to pay back all the money they have saved on their electric bill because of the energy generated by the solar panels?

Can tenants be forced to pay back the credit they received off of their PGE electric bill because of the solar panels on the property?

Okay, guys. I have another question. Can the tenants be forced to pay back the credit they received off of their PGE electric bill because of the solar panels?

@Russell Brazil

I have another question. Can I force my tenants to pay back the credit they received off of their PGE electric bill because of the solar panels?

Solar panels are great for the government, the solar companies, and the utility companies. I don't see many situations where the consumer wins.

Thank-you, Nathan!
